The most important thing you can do, and it has a deadline. The prime window closes around 16 weeks, so this one can't wait.

What I do:
  • Introduce new sights, sounds, people, and surfaces one small dose at a time
  • Pair every new thing with something good
  • Build a confident puppy, not an overwhelmed one
What you'll see: A puppy who bounces back from surprises instead of melting down. A dog you can actually take places.

The everyday stuff that makes a dog pleasant to live with! (Usually what's driving you up the wall.)

What I do:
  • No jumping, four paws on the floor to say hi
  • Polite door greetings, no bolting out
  • No counter-surfing or food stealing
  • Settling calmly instead of demanding attention
  • Being okay with alone time
What you'll see: A dog who picks the polite option because it works better for them.

Puppies bite. That's not a problem, that's a puppy. This teaches them to control the pressure of their mouth, and it's a safety feature for life.

What I do:
  • Start by teaching pressure control: soft mouths keep the fun going, hard mouths end it
  • Allow natural mouthing to fade as they're still teething, then shift to a clear no-teeth-on-skin rule
  • Flexible per owner preference
What you'll see: Fewer cut hands, then gentler mouthing, then a puppy who checks themselves completely after teething.

The classics: sit, down, stay, come, leave it, drop it, loose-leash walking. These are tools, not the whole toolbox.

What I do:
  • Teach fundamental cues in tiny, clear steps with rewards
  • Layer in the 3 Ds: Distance, Duration, Distractions
  • Strong focus on the two that save lives: come (recall) and leave / drop it
What you'll see: Cues that work at the park, not just the quiet kitchen.

Teaching your puppy to be comfortable being touched and held. Nails, ears, teeth, paws, vet visits.

What I do:
  • Pair gentle handling with good things
  • Start tiny and build up slowly
  • Use cooperative care, so it pays off for life
What you'll see: Vet visits, nail trims, and grooming that aren't a wrestling match.

Really about routine, supervision, and rewarding the right choice in the right spot.

What I do:
  • Frequent potty breaks on a consistent schedule
  • A reward every time they get it right
  • Built into the full Boot Camp day
What you'll see: Fewer accidents and a puppy learning to ask to go out.

Affordability Note:
I have over 15 years of hands-on canine

experience in professional settings,

including vet clinics, daycares, high-volume salons,

and training facilities—

and my base rates are nearly half

than those of comparable DFW trainers.

Why keep introductory rates so low?

1) I do not want you to break the bank

for fundamentals. I am not in this for the money,

I am in it for the dogs!

2) Serving families of different backgrounds

helps inform future business decisions as RCD grows.

These intro rates won’t last forever, however!
